The Orb have announced a new album, 'Prism'.

On 25th January, the English ambient house legends shared via Twitter that the album - their eighteenth full-length to date - will be released via Cooking Vinyl on 28th April. It's available to pre-order digitally and via CD and vinyl.

Spanning nine tracks, the album is the third album to be released by the current line-up of Michael Rendall and founding member Alex Paterson, following 'No Sounds Are Out of Bounds' in 2018 and 2020's 'Abolition of the Royal Familia'.

Accompanying the announcement is the release of lead single 'Living In Recycled Times'. Watch its video and check out the tracklist for 'Prism' below.

In the early 1990s, The Orb pioneered the sound of ambient house on albums including their 1991 debut, 'The Orb's Adventures Beyond the Ultraworld' and 'U.F.Orb'. Heavily influenced by dub music, their music put an emphasis on slower rhythms conducive to early-morning raves.
