Rustie returns with first new music in nine years, 'Black Ice Mudra': Listen

Rustie has shared his first new music since 2015, a single called 'Black Ice Mudra'.

Centred around the Scottish producer's characteristically maximalist and colourful synths, the track has been released via his longtime label home of Warp Records. It's the first new music to have come out from the artist since 2015's 'EVENIFYOUDONTBELIEVE' LP.

Shortly after that album's release, Rustie cancelled a string of planned shows, citing issues with mental health and addiction. He has only played three shows since, in his hometown of Glasgow.

Listen to 'Black Ice Mudra' below.

Rustie's release on Warp follows on from the label putting out a record by his longtime collaborator Hudson Mohawke, with Nikki Nair, last year.
