Skrillex releases new single with Palestinian artist Nai Barghouti, 'Xena': Listen
It's part of a recent run of collaborative singles by the producer
Skrillex has shared his fifth collaborative single of 2023, a track called 'Xena' which features Palestinian artist Nai Barghouti.
The track, which you can check out below, features vocals from Barghouti, who is a singer, composer and flute player. It follows on from recent collaborative singles 'Real Spring' (featuring Bladee), 'Rumble' (with Fred again.. and Flowdan), 'Way Back' (featuring PinkPantheress and Trippie Redd), and 'Leave Me Like This' (with Bobby Raps).
It's believed Skrillex is currently building up to the release of a larger album project after he shared a teaser for upcoming new music at the start of this year.
The unveiling of a flurry of new music from Skrillex comes after the US artist recently revealed in a series of tweets that a difficult period of personal circumstances and a lack of "drive and purpose" were behind his decision to pull out of shows and take a period away from the music industry. He wrote: "The truth is I didn't cancel Sunset and Movement festival because of my albums. It [was] because I was working on myself."
