Berlin’s Refuge Worldwide announces 11-city DJ workshop and party tour
It will take in 11 cities and various artists from October to December
Berlin community radio station Refuge Worldwide has announced details of a DJ workshop and party tour.
Starting and ending in the stations home in the German capital, the first Refuge Worldwide tour will stop off in Amsterdam, Helsinki, Turin, London, Prague, Leuven, Rotterdam, Kaunas, and Warsaw between 1st October to 9th December. Check out the full venue details below.
With Mark Ernestus, THC, Bradley Zero, Yen Sung, and Charisse C among the artists booked to perform, the tour will see the Neukölln-based radio station host various parties and AIAIAI-supported DJ workshops. Before each event, there will be a DJ workshop held at the venue. One of the DJs playing at the club night will give a tutorial, before participants have time to try out playing on a club setup for the first time.
A continuation of Refuge Worldwide and AIAIAI’s partnership on the Zaatari Radio workshops in Amman - as well as AIAIAI’s bi-monthly Freedom To Create talk show on Refuge Worldwide - the workshops are aimed at empowering a new generation of DJs, allowing access to equipment, removing barriers to entry and striving for greater diversity in the DJ community.
