The 2021 Laurent Garnier documentary, Off the Record, is now available to stream for free in Europe.
Directed by Gabin Rivoire and produced by Julien Loeffler, Off the Record was filmed between 2017 and 2019 and shown first in France in 2021 following a Kickstarter campaign. Among the artists interviewed in the film are Miss Kittin, Carl Cox, Pedro Winter, Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin, the Blessed Madonna and others. Watch the trailer below.
ARTE, the European public-service broadcaster, is streaming the documentary until January 2024. Stream it here (a VPN may be needed). The film is also available via Apple TV.
In May, Garnier unveiled his first album since 2015, ‘33 Tours Et Puis S'en Vont’. However, the French DJ was then forced to cancel all his dates this summer — which included appearances at Sónar in Barcelona, Karussel in Copenhagen, and Nuits Sonores in Lyon — due to health reasons.
The 57-year-old DJ said earlier this year that he'll be stepping back from touring at the end of 2024.
