Pete Tong DJ Academy launches free scholarship program

DJ Mag will award ten scholarship places to applicants across our readership and community partners

Pete Tong DJ Academy launches free scholarship program

The Pete Tong DJ Academy has launched a new scholarships scheme, providing free access to their full program to a select number of applicants.

Launched in celebration of the Academy’s first full year of teaching, the new program will offer 50 applicants the opportunity to be taught by some of the world’s most renowned DJs, including  Carl Cox, Nicole Moudaber, Jamie Jones and Pete Tong himself. Participants in the online course receive tutorials, tricks, tips and industry know-how from some of the best tutors in the industry. Students will also have a chance to have their DJ mixes featured on Apple Music as part of Future Talent series

Mentors will each select a limited number of applicants to avail of the free scholarship. Those selected will also be in with a chance of taking part in the Future Talent Awards, through which one successful participant will get the opportunity to DJ alongside Tong and others at Ibiza’s iconic Dalt Villa venue during IMS this year.

In addition to that, the student who takes the grand prize spot will also be featured in the UK and US editions of DJ Mag and also on djmag.com. The other finalists will also be given the opportunity to play events, appear on radio, and have access to exclusive discounts and benefits in association with the Academy’s official partners, which include Defected and IMS.

DJ Mag will also be awarding ten scholarship places to The Pete Tong DJ Academy, divided between six applying readers, and four community partners (more info on that will be announced soon).

Speaking about the scholarship scheme, Tong said: “This is open to DJs from every corner of the world, of course if you are already skilled but want to discover the advanced section of the course, or want to participate in the Future Talent Awards, this is your chance to do it for free.”

Applications are open for DJs from all over the world between 24th February and 1st March. Find out more to apply here
