Rihanna is set to headline next year's Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show. Apple Music will replace long-time sponsor Pepsi as the halftime show's new sponsor.
The forthcoming performance will mark Rihanna’s first live outing since her appearance with DJ Khaled and Bryson Tiller at the 2018 Grammy Awards. Prior to that, her last tour took place in 2016 for her album 'Anti'.
She joins the ranks of legendary Halftime acts such as Beyoncé, Madonna, Prince and Stevie Wonder. The Weeknd, real name Abel Tesfaye, performed solo, backed up by a choir, band and dancers at last year's show. This year's hotly anticipated Halftime show featured a mash-up of performances by hip-hop A-listers Eminem, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar and Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent, and draw more than 120 million viewers, according to the NFL.
The Super Bowl LVII will be broadcast live on Fox on 12th February.

Earlier this year, Rihanna welcomed her first child with A$AP Rocky and starred in the love-themed video for his track 'D.M.B.' directed and executive produced by Rocky for AWGE. Ahead of the birth of their child, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky threw what was described as a "rave-themed baby shower".
