Top Boy season four to hit Netflix in March

Season four of 'Top Boy' is coming to Netflix next month, it has been revealed.

Having returned to screens via Netflix for its third run in 2019, after being revived following the airing of its first two seasons on Channel 4, the fourth season of the show will be comprised of eight episodes. They will be available on the streaming service from 18th March.

News of the show's return was revealed by stars such as Ashley Walters and Kano, who posted a video clip on social media showing a poster for the show on the ODEON BFI IMAX in central London.

Walters and Kano will reprise their roles on the show, while Little Simz will also return, alongside a number of other actors from the past seasons. It's also been revealed that Josephine De La Baume ('A Very Secret Service'), Howard Charles ('Shadow And Bone'), Erin Kellyman ('The Green Knight') and grime artist NoLay (AKA Natalie Athanasiou) will take up roles in the new run of the show.

The fourth season had been expected to debut on Netflix in 2020, but its production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Drake once again acted as executive producer, alongside other figures, on the new season, having played a part in bringing the show back after the end of its initial Channel 4 run.
