Kid Cudi’s animated Netflix special, Entergalactic, gets official trailer: Watch
The animated feature, which also stars Ty Dolla $ign, Jessica Williams and Timothée Chalamet, is linked with his upcoming new album of the same name — both out 30th September
The official trailer for Kid Cudi's new animated Netflix special, 'Entergalactic', is out now. Watch it below.
It's set to premiere on the streaming service on 30th September, the same day as Kid Cudi's eighth studio album, also titled 'Entergalatic', will drop. (While the Netflix 'Entergalatic' was initially announced as a series, it's since become a 92-minute "special", according to NME.) The two releases are intended to be complements of each other, as Kid Cudi has made it clear via Twitter that the album is "not a soundtrack" to the animation.
Netflix teases the plot as: "Ambitious artist Jabari [Kid Cudi, credited as Scott Mescudi] attempts to balance success and love when he moves into his dream Manhattan apartment and falls for his next-door neighbor."
In addition to Kid Cudi, the cast includes Ty Dolla $ign, Jessica Williams, Timothée Chalamet, Laura Harrier, 070 Shake, Teyana Taylor, Jaden Smith, Macaulay Culkin and more, including Kid Cudi's older sister Maisha Mescudi voicing Jabari's sister Ellie.
This isn't Kid Cudi's only Netflix project on the way. He's also set to make his directorial debut with the upcoming film Teddy, expected out next year.
