Legendary soul singer and songwriter Bill Withers has died, aged 81.
The American artist, best known for writing and performing hits such as ‘Ain’t No Sunshine’, ‘Lovely Day’, ‘Just The Two Of Us’ and ‘Lean On Me’, passed away on Monday 30th March following heart complications, it has been confirmed.
Toronto record store Invisible City is to shut its physical address “indefinitely”.
A statement sent to the retailer and label's email subscribers today explained the shop will continue to operate online while searching for new premises, citing differences with the business it shared its old address with as cause of the move.
Invisible City— which specialises in funk, disco and soul— opened for business late-2016 as an offshoot of the acclaimed reissue imprint, Invisible City Editions.

Aretha Franklin, the “Queen of Soul”, has died aged 76.
In a statement released today on behalf of her family, it was announced that Franklin had passed away this morning (16th August) at home in Detroit after a long battle with pancreatic cancer. She was surrounded by family and friends.
The legendary Detroit-raised singer is globally celebrated for her many hits including ‘Respect’, ‘(You Make Me Feel) Like a Natural Woman’, ‘Chain of Fools’ and ‘I Say a Little Prayer’ to name but a few.
