Stockholm listening bar Hosoi has found a new location, a 120-year-old former slaughterhouse.
As Resident Advisor reports, the bar originally closed at its first location, where it hosted the likes of Sadar Bahar and Mary Lattimore, in March this year. Hosoi's new base, located just outside Stockholm in Slakthusomårdet, is currently under renovation with plans to open in the summer of 2022.
UK charity Youth Music has launched a new fund worth £1.7 million to aid various nationwide music projects with post-pandemic recovery.
As part of the Youth Music Recharge Fund, successful applicants across England, Scotland and Wales will be elligible to up to £30,000 a year for three years. The one-off funding round will be shared equitably between 40 music organisations, Youth Music says.
The BRIT Awards has introduced a number of new categories and removed gendered awards for its 2022 ceremony.
After making adjustments earlier this year, the BRIT Awards — which is set to be hosted by comedian Mo Gilligan — has made further changes to its framework, swapping the male and female solo artist categories for an all-inclusive Artist of the Year award. The changes were made after Sam Smith, who is a non-binary artist, said that they felt the BRITS should "celebrate everybody, regardless of gender, race, age, ability, sexuality and class.”

Three of Four Tet's albums released on Domino have been remove from streaming services amid a dispute between the label and artist over royalties.
In a series of tweets, Four Tet said he was "so upset" by Domino's decision to take the albums 'Pause', 'Rounds' and 'Everything Ecstatic' down from streaming platforms. Describing it as "heartbreaking", he added: "People are reaching out asking why they can't stream the music and I'm sad to have to say that it's out of my control."

Omar Souleyman has been released from custody in Turkey following his arrest last Wednesday.
The Syrian artist was detained and questioned in relation to a "terrorism propaganda" charge following a recent trip to his native country. Citing alleged links to the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) and People's Defense Units (YPG), Turkish police arrested Souleyman in the city of Şanlıurfa, where he has been living since fleeing Syria's civil war in 2013.
