Skrillex has shared a new track.
After teasing fans about the potential follow-up to his 2014-released debut album, ‘Recess’, since January this year, DJ and producer Skrillex has now shared a brand new track ahead of a bigger project.
Early this morning, Skrillex shared a photo to Twitter showing him using Ableton's "share on Soundcloud" feature. Shortly after, the new production, 'Kliptown Empyrean', appeared on the producer's Soundcloud page.
Skrillex has been in the studio with The Beach Boys’ Bruce Johnston.
Following the release of his collaborative effort 'Ego Death' with Ty Dolla $ign, Kanye West & FKA Twigs earlier this month, Skrillex has been spotted in the studio alongside Heavy Mellow and Bruce Johnston from The Beach Boys.
In a video posted to sound engineer Colt B.'s instagram story, Skrillex can be seen in the studio alongside Johnston, who has done vocals, keyboards, bass, and percussion for The Beach Boys since the '60s.

Released at 9AM PT, 'Ego Death' marks the second collaboration between Skrillex and Ty Dolla $ign, and also features Brooklyn-based experiemental artist, Serpentwithfeet.

Slated for release on Thursday 1st July at 9AM, the new collaborative effort will be titled 'Ego Death', and also features Brooklyn-based experiemntal artist, Serpentwithfeet.
Skrillex has revealed that his next album is almost finished.
Taking to Instagram, he revealed in a story that he's currently working on "final mixes" for the record, which would be his first since 2014's 'Recess'. Fans have waited a number of years for a new full-length project from Sonny Moore, and his social media post has further hinted that we may be getting more than one album from him this year, describing the almost finished project as "this first album".
Skrillex and Noisia are seemingly working on new music together.
US bass DJ and electronic outfit Noisia have previously collaborated on a number of projects, with Noisia remixing Skrillex's 'Scary Monsters and Nice Sprites' way back in 2010. The DJ and collective member Nik Roos also worked together in December last year, on a theme tune for Obselete, a mecha-based anime and YouTube original series.
A collaboration between Skrillex and Softest Hard seems to be in the works.
The US bass star and LA-based artist teased the collaboration at 808 Festival, which took place in Bangkok earlier this month, where the pair performed a B2B alongside the likes of Dyro, KSHMR, and Calvin Harris.
Skrillex has hinted that new "albums" could be on the way.
The US DJ and producer was revealed as a Grammy nominee yesterday (21st), for his collaborative effort with Boys Noize and Ty Dolla $ign, 'Midnight Hour'. Shortly after the nomination, Skrillex uploaded a video to Instagram, thanking the fans for their support on 'Midnight Hour', and shared he was “in the studio finishing [his] albums."
